The first Pearl Corporate Golf Day was held at the
Pearl Championship Golf and Country Club in early March, 2008.
It was Ambrose Competition, The turn out was good, The day perfect, The course in great shape. Fun and laughs to be had.
Ambrose: A system of team play whereby each player takes a tee shot, after which the most favourable ball position is chosen. All the team's players then take a shot from this new position, and so on. (Also known as a Texas Scramble)
Each team had four players with one of the rules being that each player had to have at least two of their drives used. The teams' handicap was all four team members individual handicaps added and divided by 8.
Prizes won were for longest drive, nearest to the pin, best dressed, and first, second and third place.
